Josh LIM
Executive Director, founding partner
Josh Lim is a Singaporean Chinese and has been living and working in China for more than 10 years. He is currently the founding partner and executive director at IJK Capital Partners, a cross border investment and advisory company with offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Vienna and Singapore.
Josh's background spans general management, business strategy, and private equity/hedge fund investing. He is also a lecturer at Shanghai Technological University. Josh previously served as the Head of Consumer Retail at BRF China, where he has helped build a food retail business from scratch, focusing on supply chain operations and distribution management in China. Prior to BRF, Josh worked at Origo Partners, a Beijing-based US$250 million mid-market growth private equity firm where he led clean-tech, industrials and agricultural deals across China. In addition to private equity investing, Josh had short stints with UBS Global Asset Management in Chicago city and Falcon Edge Capital, a US$ 4.5 billion ‘Tiger Cub’ hedge fund based in New York City.
Josh also served in the Singapore Armed Forces as an Infantry Officer and was the Chairman of the Funding Committee of Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) in Beijing. Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from National University of Singapore, an MBA from The Wharton School and an MA in International studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
